Fed: Two illegal immigrants still to be caught in WA

CANBERRA, Dec 27 AAP - Two illegal immigrants who escaped from the Curtin airbase detention
centre on Christmas Eve continue to evade police who are searching for them.

Of the group of five men which broke through the wire fence of the detention centre,
two were picked up within two hours and an another was caught yesterday afternoon.

ABC radio said two of the men were still to be found.

A local resident said two of the illegal immigrants had knocked on his neighbour's
door late on Christmas night asking for food, water and work.

Immigration officials were reviewing security at the airbase following the breakout.
