HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- Foldera(TM), Inc. (OTCBB:FDRA), the Next Generation Information Organizer and Messaging/Collaboration service, has announced the appointment of software industry veteran and well-known blogger Marc Orchant to the position of ClassFolders' CEO-in-Residence.
Echoing a theme started by Dave Madison, the ex-Microsoft Senior Manager (NASDAQ:MSFT) who just joined Foldera, Marc Orchant, is the latest Foldera senior executive who will take the helm at Foldera's ClassFolders' vertical. Mr. Orchant went on record as saying, "People were surprised to hear that I'd joined Foldera, particularly as I'm right in the middle of writing a book about Microsoft Outlook 2007. However, I'm a true fanatic when it comes to personal productivity and team collaboration. When I saw Foldera, I realized that I didn't want to miss being a part of a company that is creating an entirely new paradigm in the organization and collaboration space. To quote Dave Madison: `Foldera changes everything,'" said Mr. Orchant.
Richard Lusk, Founder and CEO of Foldera, stated: "I can't tell you how pleased I am to have attracted a talent like Marc Orchant to our team. His depth of understanding of the educational space coupled with his years of experience designing and marketing sophisticated software make him a natural to head up ClassFolders. His credibility as a true authority on productivity is unquestionable and will be invaluable in helping Foldera fine tune the application for even the most discriminating of productivity mavens."
"Developing ClassFolders on top of the Foldera Organizer and Messaging/Collaboration suite as a platform is an exciting opportunity for two reasons. First, ClassFolders will be built to meet the needs of students, parents, and educators by allowing ease of communication and collaboration among all these three groups in a way that has not been possible in the past. Second, ClassFolders will be the first of several vertical applications we are intending to develop using our core code base," said Mr. Orchant.
"I've been working closely with Oliver Starr, Foldera's Chief Mobility Officer, to create a framework for ClassFolders that incorporates the social networking capabilities that are popular with students right now, like FaceBook and MySpace have done. We recognize how important it is to make ClassFolders accessible from a cell phone or other small, mobile devices. We're looking at ways to incorporate SMS text messaging, chat, and photo and music playlist sharing for our ClassFolders users," Mr. Orchant added.
